The nursing experience of a patient with severe respiratory failure caused by 1,3-hexafluorobutadiene poisoning treated with high flow Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation(ECMO) for a long time was summarized. The key points of nursing include pneumothorax nursing,safety nursing of multiple hospital transfers under the support of high flow ECMO,nursing of multiple conversion mode and replacement of oxygenator under the support of high flow ECMO,nursing of bleeding and thrombotic complications and convulsions. The patient was treated with ECMO for 44 days. After careful treatment and nursing,the lung transplantation was successfully completed and ECMO was successfully removed. The condition improved and the patient was recovering.
